State Farm 1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible - 1:24 Scale
For 1958, GM was promoting their fiftieth year of production, and introduced an anniversary model for each brand. Chevrolet’s car was the Chevrolet Bel-Air Impala. A total of 55,989 Impala Convertibles were built, representing 15 percent of Chevrolet’s total production. The 1958 Bel Air Impala helped Chevrolet regain the number one production spot during this recession year. The Impala was distinguished from other Chevrolet models by its symmetrical triple-taillights, and was the only series to offer a convertible that year. Another first for the ’58 model year were dual headlamps, and the tailfins of ’57 were replaced by deeply-sculptured rear fenders. The 1958 Chevrolet models were longer, lower and wider than their predecessors.
